Kamalesh (KP) Patel serves as the 2025–2026 Chairman of AAHOA. A second-generation hotelier, KP grew up immersed in the hospitality industry, learning the business firsthand from his parents. Today, he and his wife, Krishna, operate their family-owned properties in Santa Cruz, California—carrying forward the same values of hard work, community, and perseverance.
Before being elected Chairman, KP served as AAHOA’s North Pacific Regional Director, where he played a pivotal role in making the region one of the highest-performing in the nation. His leadership journey also includes five years as an AAHOA Ambassador, including several as a Premier Ambassador, and active service on multiple industry-related committees focused on strengthening hotel ownership and operations.
Throughout his involvement with AAHOA, KP has been a consistent advocate for transparency, engagement, and owner-driven leadership. His 2025–2026 platform, “Strengthening AAHOA Through Member Empowerment,” centers on profitability, advocacy, governance, and preparing the next generation of hospitality leaders.
Outside of his professional commitments, KP is a proud father who has enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball team and giving back to his community through charitable events. Following in the footsteps of his father, Suresh (SP) Patel, KP is the second in his family to serve as North Pacific Regional Director—carrying forward a proud legacy of leadership within AAHOA and the hospitality industry.
