AAHOA
Culture
AAHOA fosters a workplace culture grounded in mutual respect among colleagues and a shared commitment to serving its members. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, as we work together to build an organization that employees are proud to be part of—and that members are proud to join. With a close-knit and dedicated team, it’s no surprise that our President and CEO, Laura Lee Blake, coined the term Team AAHOA. We thrive on teamwork, camaraderie, and celebrating milestones, making every contribution count.

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with an office in Washington, D.C., AAHOA employs nearly 40 professionals who work to advance and protect the interests of hotel owners through advocacy, industry leadership, professional development, member benefits, and community engagement. We are always seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.
AAHOA
History
We were founded in 1989 when Asian American hoteliers faced discrimination for simply being a minority. We have since grown to represent people from all walks of life, but what hasn’t changed is that we pride ourselves on diversity and inclusion.
AAHOA's
Team Mission
At AAHOA, we are a team of hospitality industry professionals dedicated to providing world-class service to the 20,000 hotel owners across the United States. Our members own and operate 34,260 hotels in the U.S., representing 3.1 million guestrooms, and they employ more than a million people.

The hotel industry is fast-paced and fast-changing – influenced by the state of travel and tourism in the United States, which encompasses leisure and business travel. As in every industry, AAHOA Members value proposition is constantly being challenged by innovation, which requires AAHOA and its team of dedicated professionals to be nimble and capable of anticipating needs in a changing industry.

"After facing a tragedy in my life, I took a break from working, and I knew when I entered back into the workforce, I needed a company that was “family-oriented” and believes in community. I found just that when I started my employment with AAHOA. I stay at AAHOA because of my team members, AAHOA Members, and the leadership that truly understands and supports me, not only professionally but personally."
