Married with one son, one daughter-in-law, one daughter, and one son-in-law, and five beautiful grandchildren. 

Active cricket player and loves all music prior to the 80s.

Dhansukh was born in Gujurat, India. He immigrated to the United Kingdom with his family in 1965.

He completed high school in 1972.  In 1976, he graduated from business school with a two-year degree and worked for Rymans Electronic Company until, by marriage, he immigrated to the US in 1978.

 Dhansukh worked for Trend Electronics in San Francisco, California. After 8 months in the electronics field, he purchased his first Motel in Pulaski, Tennessee. Today he and his family co-own and operate several hotels.

Dhansukh was a founding member of the Gujarat Cultural Association of Nashville, TN.

Dhansukh was an active member of the IAHA before it emerged with AAHOA.

Elected in 1996 to the position of Director at Large, he served four terms on the Executive Committee.

He became the Chairman of AAHOA in 2001.  Dhansukh is very committed to strengthening youth membership and educating youth hoteliers in preparation for their future in hospitality.  In his role as chairman, Dhansukh campaigned for independent hotel owners to become involved with AAHOA, and take advantage of the association’s educational, political, and networking opportunities.

In 2002 he was elected as the Vice President of LPS.  He took to the helm in 2004 and made it the strongest and most vibrant cultural association.  He revamped the communication barriers by re-doing their magazine.  New colorful and bilingual issues have started.  He has given Leuva a sense of belonging with his multi-city town hall meetings.  Lifetime membership is at an all-time high and he surpassed his own goal of 500.

He has made several trips to India and is very proud of the way India is growing.  He is especially proud of Gujarat and Mr. Modi’s achievements.  He would like to be involved in Indo-American relations.

He currently serves as Past Chairman of AAHOA and Past President of LPS Of USA, giving his blessings and wisdom.

He has retired from his business and enjoys traveling the world with his wife and friends.  His spare time is spent with his precious grandchildren.
