ATLANTA, GA, December 10, 2025 — AAHOA (Asian American Hotel Owners Association), representing nearly 20,000 hotel owners and supporting 60% of all U.S. hotels, has joined more than 100 business, advocacy, and diversity organizations in signing a coalition letter led by the International Franchise Association (IFA) calling on Congress to support the bipartisan American Franchise Act (AFA), H.R. 5267.

ATLANTA, GA, October 7, 2025 – The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) is highly alarmed and deeply impacted by a disturbing surge of deadly violence targeting hotel owners. In just 72 hours last week, three hoteliers were killed — two in Charlotte, NC, and one in Pittsburgh, PA.
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 19, 2025—Hotel owners from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., for AAHOA's Fall National Advocacy Conference (FNAC), September 16-17, where they met directly with lawmakers to discuss the key federal issues impacting the hospitality industry.
SAN DIEGO, CA, September 16, 2025 — The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), which represents nearly 60% of the hotel industry nationwide, announced a significant win for its members as the San Diego City Council approved a carve-out for hotels with fewer than 150 rooms in its new minimum wage ordinance.
LOS ANGELES, September 8, 2025 — The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder confirmed that the referendum to delay the city’s Olympic Wage Ordinance fell short of the required valid signatures. The ordinance will now take effect, raising hotel worker wages from $22.50 in 2025 to $25 in 2026, $27.50 in 2027, and $30 in 2028. A mandatory healthcare benefits payment will also begin in 2026.
