Arkansas Regional Director Danny (Chintu) Patel and AAHOA Members recently met with State Representative Trey Steimel to discuss key issues impacting hoteliers in the state.

STR Legislation: Rep. Steimel played a key role in helping defeat harmful STR legislation during this year’s session.

Mattress Bill (ADA Room Standards): Steimer listened to members’ concerns on the proposed height requirement for ADA rooms and made the necessary changes to better support hoteliers.

Future Priorities: The conversation also focused on preparing for the next session, when STR legislation is expected to be reintroduced, as well as discussions around anti-trafficking efforts and ways to strengthen Arkansas' tourism industry.
