Several AAHOA Members in the Alabama Region, including Alabama Regional Director Sanjay Patel, met recently with Chris Davis, a Democratic candidate for the US Congress in Alabama’s 7th District.

They spent a few hours with Davis, discussing bringing federal incentives to the 7th District, which includes portions of the Birmingham, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa/Northport urban areas, and all of the city of Selma. 

Patel reports that the districts that house Huntsville and Mobile have received federal funds but not their district. They also discussed how the 7th District has the lowest life expectancy in the U.S., as well as educating residents of the district and providing resources.
