AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake reflected on her time at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) in a LinkedIn post, highlighting the most memorable moments from the event.

Blake shared her excitement about attending the AHLA Foundation’s Night of a Thousand Stars gala at the Biltmore Los Angeles, where former AAHOA Women Hoteliers Director Eastern Division Lina Patel was given the Female Trailblazer of the Year award.

She also expressed her honor in participating in a Boardroom Outlook Leadership panel moderated by Adam McGaughy, featuring insights from industry CEOs Greg Juceam, Sam Nazarian, and Russell Urban.

The post further mentioned the enjoyment of celebrating awards for outstanding hospitality leaders, including David Kong receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as learning from the numerous different panels at ALIS, including AAHOA Chairman Bharat Patel’s panel, “Ownership - Brand value, Options, and Future.”

Blake also engaged in key meetings with executives from top industry companies and associations to plan for 2024.

Finally, she shared enjoyment in participating in the inspiring Shatterproof event, which offered hope, resources, and recovery for individuals facing addiction.

“It’s always the place to be for the industry launch of the new year!” Blake said about the event.
