AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake's Statement on the U.S. Debt Ceiling

Following this week’s latest developments regarding the U.S. debt ceiling, AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake issued the following statement:

“As small-business owners who contribute more than $300 billion to the economy, AAHOA Members are encouraged by news that Congressional and Administration leaders have reached a deal to avoid a default.”

“We are hopeful that negotiations over suspending the $31.4 trillion debt limit for two years in exchange for spending limits will meet with bipartisan approval in Congress. It is important that the government honors its debt obligations while being fiscally responsible.”

“Members of Congress should consider the spirit of compromise that led us to this agreement in principle when they cast their votes.”
