Last week, AAHOA North Texas Regional Director Dhiren Masters hosted a Town Hall meeting in Waco, TX. This Town Hall meeting was the second time that Regional Director Masters has hosted one in the “Heart of Texas.” In 2021, Masters brought these Town Hall meetings back to hoteliers in the Waco area, giving local hoteliers the invaluable chance to engage in this forum after a hiatus of over seven years.

“One of my goals in Waco was to bring awareness of AAHOA back to the local members,” Masters shared. “I wanted the members in Waco to see the immense value that AAHOA can bring to their businesses.”

The Town Hall included an incredible lineup of speakers:

• Justin Bragiel, Texas Hotel & Lodging Association General Counsel and Operations Manager, provided an update on how THLA is supporting hotel owners in Texas. THLA has consistently played a pivotal role in multiple AAHOA Town Hall meetings, helping numerous members in the North Texas region.

• Brian Sullivan, Alliance Bank Central Texas Executive VP, Chief Legal Officer, and Commercial Relationship Manager, and Scott Rogers, Alliance Bank Central Executive VP, Chief Lending Officer, and Commercial Relationship Manager, discussed the current banking industry climate and the lending services available to hoteliers. 

• Joshua Fischer, Waco Police Department Detective, shared details about the Waco Crime Free Hotel/Motel Program and opportunities for hoteliers to help bring crime down in the Waco area.

• Bronda Hayes, Unbound Now Director of Operations, shared the importance of human trafficking awareness for hotel businesses.
