Alabama Regional Director Attends Goldman Sachs Small Business Announcement Event

Alabama Daily News reports Goldman Sachs announced it will bring its $100 million initiative to help small businesses in rural areas to Alabama. Alabama Regional Director Sanjay Patel and AAHOA Ambassador Rupen Patel attended the event, which also attracted U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) and Congresswoman Terri Sewell (D-AL). The funding will ease tax burdens for small business owners, including hoteliers.

According to the Alabama Daily News, the financial firm is launching a $100 million Investment in Rural Communities initiative, an expansion of its 10,000 Small Businesses program. The program provides small businesses with loans, business training programs, and access to grant funds. It has already graduated 16,106.
