On Friday, August 4, AAHOA Industry Partner Foliot Furniture hosted Carol Wayman, Senior Policy Adviser for Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, and Hector Lizaola, Regional Representative for the Senator, at the showroom in Las Vegas, NV. The gathering of these two senior staffers bridged the gap between policy and hospitality and further underscored Sen. Cortez Masto’s commitment to supporting businesses and families across Nevada.

As a lifetime Las Vegas Resident, Sen. Cortez Masto is understandably familiar with the countless sacrifices made by hoteliers while recognizing the trade’s importance in the country’s economy.

“When our businesses and entrepreneurs succeed, we all succeed,” Sen. Cortez Masto told Today’s Hotelier in October. “Nevada’s small businesses, especially those relying on our travel and tourism economy, were hit hard during the height of the pandemic. Mahesh Parekh, Executive Director of Business Development at Foliot Furniture and co-founder and former Board member of AAHOA, along with several other Foliot team members, gave Wayman and Lizaola a tour of the showroom, where they saw different types of hotel furniture, including kitchenettes, wall units, beds, headboards, and more.

Foliot's factory tour was the icing on the cake, where leading-age machinery and experienced team members bring furniture to life. Wayman and Lizaola witnessed firsthand the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication that goes into manufacturing each piece, showcasing Foliot’s unwavering commitment to quality and excellence.
