WASHINGTON, D.C., July 4, 2025—The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), which represents nearly 20,000 hoteliers across the United States, today recognizes President Donald Trump's signing of H.R. 1, the One Big, Beautiful Bill for America (OBBBA), into law. This legislation represents a positive step forward for small business owners, including thousands of hotel owners across the country.
H.R. 1 provides targeted tax relief, incentives for reinvestment, and greater financial certainty for small businesses when long-term planning is more important than ever.
"This is a strong step in the right direction for hotel owners and the broader small business community," said AAHOA Chairman Kamalesh (KP) Patel. "Our members have been actively advocating for these reforms, and we're pleased to see their concerns reflected in the final legislation."
"The fact that this bill was signed into law on Independence Day is a timely reminder of the values that drive our members with opportunity, resilience, and the freedom to build something of your own," said AAHOA President & CEO Laura Lee Blake. "Strengthening America's backbone—our nearly 20,000 members own over 60% of the hotels in the U.S. and provide more than 1 million jobs. This bill gives them the clarity to reinvest, the confidence to grow, and the ability to keep fueling the communities they proudly serve."
AAHOA will continue advocating for policies that promote economic growth, entrepreneurship, and long-term sustainability for small businesses across the hospitality industry.
